Maud Shanklin, 81, of Shaw, Mississippi, was born on December 17, 1939 to the late nancy and rafe steward sr. she was the 3rd of 7 children born to this union. cora (jessie) green, Geneva Steward, Dempsey Steward and rose mae Steward preceded her in death. Her daughter Dorothy mae and granddaugher Nyesha smith rest with her.

 Maud was a loving and caring wife to her late husband Charlie shanklin. She was also a Devoted mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. Maud passed on March 21, 2021. Maud leaves to cherish her memories: her only son named after her father Rafe Steward (janette) of Sunflower, MS: two grandsons: sakima (shaunie) walker, Larry smity of Chicago, IL: two grandaughters Jennifer (desmon) Gordon of Leland, MS Annette (danny) underwood of Chicago, IL: one sister Essie (walter) Luckett of Ypsilanti, MI and a host of cousins extended family and friends.
