Matthew Vaughan, 65Matthew D. Vaughan, 65, of Wellman, formerly of Coralville, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 2, 2017. A gathering to celebrate Matt's life will be held at their home (211 10th Avenue SW in Wellman) on Saturday, September 16th from 4-10 pm. Food will be provided and friends are encouraged to bring their favorite beverage. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Washington County, IA.Matt was born on October 12, 1951, in Denver, CO, the son of Francis and Suzanne (Mill) Vaughan. He was a graduate of Regina High School. Matt was a master carpenter, builder and "jack of all trades" throughout his life. He was a Nascar, Drag Racing and Chicago Cubs fan. He loved animals, music of all genres from multiple devices. Matt loved to host friends in his "social garage". He will be dearly missed.Survivors include his companion of 33 years, Chris Parker, two brothers: Patrick Vaughan and Timothy Vaughan, and a sister Sally Vaughan Johnson.
