Matthew D. Powell, age 29, of Nappanee, died Friday, March 8, 2019, in Goshen.  He was born September 9, 1989, in Elkhart to Omer and Susan (Davies) Powell. 

Matthew lived his lifetime in Nappanee and was a graduate of Northwood High School.  He worked as a mechanic.  He loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors.

Matthew is survived by his son, Matthew Powel; parents, Susan and Omer Powell, both of Nappanee; sister, Christi (Kenton) Haman, Syracuse; brother, Jason (Kimberly) Brown, Colorado Springs, CO;  grandpa, Larry (Vickie) Davies, Lapaz; aunt, Michele (Richard) Peters, Nappanee; and uncle, Craig (Carrie) Davies, Nappanee.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brown; grandma, Sandra James, and grandparents, Omer & Pauline Powell.
