It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Hancock, who was born on February 7, 2008, in Bardstown, Kentucky, United States. Matthew tragically left this world on March 8, 2025, while doing what he loved most - riding dirt bikes on black mountain in Harlan, Ky.

Matthew was the beloved son of Dale and Shirley Hancock and the loving partner of Jennifer Shaw. Although he had no children of his own, Matthew was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Matthew was a hardworking individual who spent his days as a helping hand on the family farm. In his free time, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and side by sides, a hobby that brought him great joy and excitement.

A service to celebrate Matthew's life will be held on Friday, March 14, at the family farm in Bardstown, Kentucky. All friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects to a life taken too soon.

Matthew's bright smile and adventurous spirit will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
