Mary Louise SmithLANCASTER: Mary Louise Smith, 81, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Crestview Nursing Home. She was born on March 14, 1935 to the late Thomas E. Griffin and Rose Mae Griffin. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Smith; brothers, Dale Griffin, Edward Griffin, Charles Griffin, and Robert Griffin; and sisters, Thelma Smeck, Ruth Good, and Lovie Griffin.She is survived by her four sons, Timmy (Ruby), James (Melody), Paul (Cathy), and Donald (Linda Plants); grandchildren, Melinda (Curt) McCune, Marcie (Steve) Smith, Theresa Balzer, Marcy (Kurt) Love, Jessica (Chas) Lambert, Katie (Travis) Cupp, Trevor (Danielle), and Jarred; great-grandchildren, Chad (Tessia), Jessie, Justin, Harley, Adam, Mason, Maddox, Samuel, Morgan, Cayden, Knox, and Amelia; nieces, nephews, and extended family. A lover of all animals, especially cats, Mary was known for her time with the Lancaster Eagles Auxiliary and the Lancaster Greenhouse. She was also known for her time spent gardening, cooking, and keeping a meticulous house. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
