LIGONIER — Mary Lou (Rex) Poyser, age 83, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 11:30 p.m. at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on July 26, 1931, in Ligonier, Indiana, to Roy W. and Treva (Marshall) Rex. Mrs. Poyser attended Ligonier High School and graduated from Elkhart Central High School. She worked at Ball Ban in Mishawaka, Carson Pirie Scott, Ziesel's, and The Gift Box in Elkhart, Indiana. Mary Lou held her real estate License. In 2002, she retired from Millenium Industries in Ligonier. Mary Lou was a wonderful seamstress and was very creative. She loved to dance even in her last days. Mary Lou attended Ligonier Church of the Nazarene and she loved the Lord. She was known for her lively spirit and sense of fun. She loved to travel, glitter, dark chocolate, and a good garage sale. She will be deeply missed by her entire family. She is survived by her sister, Betty (Jim) Tuvell of Ligonier; her brother, James (Pat) Rex of Woodburn, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Debbie (Richard) Tuvell-Thies of Zionsville, Lisa (Mark) Tuvell-Hauguel of Ligonier, Todd (Lora) Rex of Leo and Troy (Mindy) Rex of Grabill. She was specially loved by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jared Thies, Anthony Hauguel, Tatem Rex, Addy Rex, as well as Tristan, Logan, Colby, and Mason Rex; and dear friends, Chuck and Debbie Baldwin of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral will be held in Mrs. Poyser's honor on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, with Pastor Chuck Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, Indiana. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, July 24, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service at Yeager Funeral Home.
