Visitation will be Thursday April 6, 2017 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, at the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:00AM, at the King Solomon Baptist Church with Associate Minister Rev. John Hamilton and Associate Minster Rev. Richard Green of Valley View Missionary Baptist Church Officiating.Mary Helen was born on February 23, 1955 in Albuquerque New Mexico, the fifth child of Walter Frank Webber and Doris L. Napper Webber. She graduated Abilene High School. For several years after graduation she worked as a nurse's aide.Forty years ago she met and married the love of her life Rev. Andrew L. Penns. From this Marriage, a blended family began. Helen is survived by her husband Andrew, sons Jackie R. Logan, Terrence B. Penns, Daughter Jacqueline L. Penns, Adopted grandson Christopher D. Penns, and Step daughter Andrea Jefferson (Stephon) and step-son Christopher A. Crisp. 9 granchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nephew that she raised Michael Smith, God son Ben Garcia, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.She was preceded in death by one daughter Shayla M. Penns, her parents Walter Frank, and Doris L. Webber, two brothers; Jackie Webber and Aaron Webber, and one sister Rose Morris Webber.Mary Helen was an active member of the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Women Missionary Board and Sang in the Sr. Choir. She was also a member of the Original West Baptist District Association INC. and "I-CAN" Interested Citizens of Abilene North.
