Mrs. Mary Ashley McCormick of Warrensville died on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. She was 88.

Mrs. McCormick was born on August 21, 1926 in Warrensville to Robert and Nell Boyd Ashley.

Mrs. McCormick retired from Sprague Electric after 35 plus years of service. Mary was known for her baking abilities, especially her famous pound cakes. She was a member of Warrensville United Methodist Church. Mrs. McCormick also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by a son, Mike McCormick and wife, Stephanie McCormick of New Kensington, Pa.; three granddaughters: Brittany McCormick, Tiffany McCormick and Jennifer McCormick; two great-grandsons, Conner Medley and Matthew Stone; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Matthew McCormick; and brother, Ralph Ashley.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 16, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Margaret Wannamacher. Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
