May 8, 1923 - October 21, 2016 Mary Louise Costa, age 93, passed away peacefully on 10/21/2016, at her residence in Anaheim, CA. She was born on 5/8/1923, in Los Angeles, CA, the eldest child of Royal and Margaret Waters. Mary worked for years as a Teacher and High School Guidance Counselor at Downey and Warren High Schools. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from Cal State Long Beach, and her Master's degree from Pepperdine. Her interests included racehorses, casinos, bridge and Angels Baseball. She was predeceased by her first husband Corwin Churchill, their daughters Janice and Jeanine, her second husband, Ed Costa, and her brothers James and Gerald Waters. She is survived by her brother Pat Waters, daughters Margaret Churchill and Maureen Costa, and granddaughter Diane Van Ruiten-Tieskie. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11/4/2016, 10am, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holy Redeemer Chapel, 5835 Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA. 90230.
