Mary Lou Wingfield passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2024, in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was born in Tyler, Alabama on June 12, 1965, to her parents George Edward Harrison and Georgia Wingfield.
Mary leaves behind her Mother: Georgia Wingfield, five beloved children: Hayward Wingfield Jr, Levon Bynum, Rashiml Bynum, May Ann Bynum, and Hiesha Bynum. Step Children: Baby Grace Johnson,Tya Barney, Archie Bynum, Aaron Bynum, Jo Jo Bynum, Marcus Barney, and Rakeem Barney. Three sisters: Linda Parham of Cleveland, Ohio, Genice Johnson of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Shelly Harrison of Chicago, Illinois. Brother William Webb of Mobile, Alabama. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren who will miss her infectious laughter and loving nature.
Mary Lou is proceeded in death by her Father George Edward Harrison; Brother George Harrison; Life partner Archie Bynum; Maternal grandparents Love Lue Webb and George Webb; Paternal grand parents Mary Harrison and Sam Harrison; Aunts and Uncles; James Webb, John Webb, George Webb, Clorene Locklayer, Helen Johnson, and Alberta Minor; Nephew Quincy Webb; Special cousin; George “Chicken George” Webb; Brother in laws Harry Johnson Jr, and Ronnie Parham
Mary Lou was a proud graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Mary Lou also obtain her barber certification in later years. Lou loved riding around listening to music that made her go. She was the out going and fun auntie that everyone loved
Known for her love and living life to the fullest. Mary brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her fierce loyalty to her family and her unique ability to find humor in any situation, and being the life of the party.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 13, 2024 at Bachman Hebble Funeral home at 11:30 am. Following Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Repass will follow.
