We are saddened to announce the passing of Mary Lou Maclaird, who departed this world on October 28, 2024, at the age of 81. Mary Lou was born on September 13, 1943, in Chariton, Iowa to her loving parents, Paul and Dolores Friedrichs.

Mary Lou leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with her three children: Karen Hendrickson (spouse Jeff Hendrickson), Annette Porterfield, and Tony Carter. She also adored her seven grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Mary Lou was dedicated to her work at Lucas County Hospital, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and care.

Mary Lou will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on through the memories of those she loved and those who loved her.
