She was born on September 28, 1929, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Wolford) Vore in Niles, MI. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years in Niles, Michigan. She was a member of Eastern Star and Lodi United Methodist Church. She is survived by son, Tom (Sandy Hoke) Word; daughter, Carol Word; grandchildren, Melody Melton, Charles Brattain, Bruce Word, Jewell Coquillard, Justina Reynolds and Justin Reynolds; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Stelzer and Barbara Harbaugh and a brother, Roger Vore. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orie Allen Word; son, Rodney Word; daughters, Sue Wilds and Linda Hendershott; grandson, Everette Wilds; two brothers, Richard Vore and Ronald Vore and a son-in-law, Everette Wilds.
