Mary E. Moore, age 94, formerly of Ramseytown, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Brookville Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1921, in Ramseytown, PA, to Bernard J. and Matilda (Ferguson) Garvey. On October 28, 1939, she married William Moore in Ramseytown, PA. William preceded her in death in April of 1986. She was primarily a home maker that loved her family, sewing, and crafting. She belonged to the United Methodist Church near Ramseytown She is survived by one son, William B. (Nancy) Moore, of Ramseytown, PA; and one daughter, Shirley A. (Robert) Painter, of Brookville, PA; 5 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by four brothers; John Garvey, Vincent Garvey, Joseph Garvey, Elmer Garvey; and one sister, Kathryn (Garvey) Grube; one grandson, David A. Moore; two great-granddaughters; Mikayla M. Rhoades and Jessica Black Wiser.Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 30, 2015, from 11am-3pm, at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will begin at 3pm on the same day officiated by the Rev. Michael Garvey, also at the funeral home. Interment to take place at the Ohl Cemetery, Beaver Twp., Jefferson Co.
