Mary P. Cross1929 - 2014Mary P. Cross, 84, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday April 1, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on Nov. 25, 1929, in Powersville, Mo., the daughter of the late Harry and Alice (Garrett) Pollock. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Kenosha H.S. She married Richard Cross on March 19, 1949, in Kenosha. Mary was owner/operator of Charm Beauty Salon for 60+ years having established it in 1956. She continued her profession retiring when she was 80. She was a member of First Christian Church. Her hobbies included playing Bingo, motorcycle riding, going to casinos, and she loved all animals. She was also an avid traveler.Survivors include her husband of 65 years and one week, Richard Cross of Kenosha; children, Barry (Tonya) Cross of Ettrick, Wis., Caryn (Mary Jane Muth) Cross of Kenosha; a sister, Leola Trevier of Summerville, S.C., Mary was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Rd, Kenosha, WI 53142, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 Noon, with funeral services to follow at 12 Noon. Private burial Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to Safe Harbor Humane Society, Kindred Kittens, or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary would be appreciated.
