It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Johnson, who was born on June 19, 1952, and passed away on April 29, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia, United States. She was the beloved daughter of James and Maggie Mae Johnson, and the loving spouse of John Johnson, whom she married in 1975. Mary is survived by her two children, Kenneth Brown and Janice Brown, and four grandchildren, Philip Smith, Lakesha Larry , Lucius Larry, and Steph one Brown.

Mary attended Savannah High School, graduating in 1966, before furthering her education at Savannah State University and graduating in 1970. She worked at Mary's Delicious Soul Food for many years before retiring in 2018.

Mary will be remembered for her kind heart, delicious cooking, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
