Mary Durrah, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 24, 1939, in West Point, Mississippi, Mary lived a beautiful life marked by kindness, grace, and a deep love for others. She devoted her days to caring for her family, nurturing friendships, and bringing joy to everyone who knew her.

Mary had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her warm smile, gentle spirit, and generous heart touched countless lives. Whether sharing stories over a cup of tea, tending to her garden, or preparing a favorite meal, she poured love into everything she did.

She is survived by her children, Tina, Nick, and Jessie Sr.; and her grandchildren, Jessie Jr., Eric Ingram, Jessica, and Erica. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness to her days. She is preceded in death by [list close family members, if desired]. Her legacy of love, compassion, and strength will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of her life will be held on August 10, 2025, at First Baptist Church at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that acts of love and kindness be shared in honor of Mary’s deep devotion to her grandchildren.
