Born on March 4, 1947, in Homerville, GA, Mary was the daughter of Bill and Mary (Dade) Bullard, who instilled in her the values of kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Mary's life was a tapestry of vibrant colors, woven with threads of family, friendship, and a love for fashion. Her sense of style was unmatched, and she had an innate ability to make those around her feel comfortable and valued. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary (Dade) Bullard, and her dear sister, Marsha Stone. Despite the sadness of these losses, Mary found strength and solace in her family, whom she loved fiercely.
She is survived by her loving children: Scott Sherard, Shelby Stone, and Ernest Abernathy Jr., who carry forward her legacy of love and family values. Her grandchildren, Madison, Regan, and Joshua Sherard, as well as Ava and Will Stone, were the light of her life, bringing her immense joy and pride. Mary’s heart was open and welcoming to all, including her nephews, Mickey and Matt Stone, and her great nieces and nephews: Dustin, Matthew, Jeffrey, Kersey, Maegan, and Holly Stone.
