Mary was born on December 23, 1944 to Joseph and Iva McDonough in Mason City, Iowa. She married the love of her life, Steven Jenns, in 1968 and together they raised four children; Heather Jenns with spouse Noelle Stoyles, Holli Jenns, Heidi Hanson with spouse Chad Hanson, and Hilleri Steinbrecher with spouse Brandon Steinbrecher. Mary was a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren.

Mary had a passion for playing 'Old Maid' with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
