We are sad to share that Marvin Isiah Harris passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on March 28, 1970, Marvin was a beloved son to Elaine Harris and Marvin Isaiah Kirkland.
Marvin served in the Army for four years and then worked for the federal government until he passed away. He is survived by his three children, Brandi Moore, Jalen Harris, and Brea Harris, and his two wonderful grandkids, Ezekiel and Zola Moore.
Marvin was known for his sense of humor and love for life. He enjoyed being a dad and granddad more than anything. He loved golfing and was always ready with a joke to make everyone laugh.
Marvin will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his spirit of joy and love will live on in all of us.
You can to the family or in memory of Marvin Harris.

I worked with Isiah at the USGS and I aways found him to be a joy to work with. Always helpful. I wish I'd gotten to know him better during the short time he was with us. He had great impact and is truly missed.

I didn't get a chance to meet Isiah in his role at the US Geological Survey in Anchorage. We are in different buildings and our paths never crossed. But I wanted to reach out and offer my condolences to his family and friends on his passing. All of us have experienced the loss of loved ones, and can understand how heavy the grief can be. I truly hope that his memory will be a blessing for you all. May his legacy live on in his children and grandchildren. And may peace be with you all.
