Son of the late Virgil Carr and Estella McTears, Marvin was a loving father to his two children, Dwayne Yates and Zandrika Yates. He took great pride in watching them grow and flourish into the remarkable individuals they are today.

Marvin was a dedicated employee of Miami Dade County, where he worked tirelessly to support his family and contribute to his community. His commitment to his work was admirable, and he will be remembered for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication.

After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in 1963, Marvin embarked on a journey filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. His infectious smile and kind heart touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Marvin leaves behind a brother Leon McTear, grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Although he may no longer be with us, Marvin's spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May his memory bring comfort and solace to all who mourn his passing.
