Martha CastellanosCamarillo, CAOur beloved mother, Martha Castellanos, 88, of Camarillo, California, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday October 27, 2017.Our mother was born on February 17, 1929 to Amado and Maura Maldonado in El Rio California. She was one of four children. Mom's life wasn't always easy but she was determined and met life's challenges with courage and grace. Her children brought her immense joy and love and she loved them all unconditionally. It was mom's grandchildren that brought such a pure joy to her life and her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds. Our mother was completely unselfish when it came to us and the times we needed her for support; she was always there to listen and to counsel. Mom never wanted fancy gifts or money. She just wanted her family even if it meant a quick call. Mom was filled with excitement and overjoyed when she knew one of us was coming over for a visit. Mom had a real child like quality about her in that she was trusting, honest and giving. She fell in love with the Lakers not because she liked basketball but because she thought Phil Jackson was such a handsome man and a Dodger fan ever since they moved to Los Angeles. Mom never had a college degree but she was wise and perceptive beyond what any degree could offer. Her flour tortillas were famous and beyond description and how she made them so perfectly round was an art. She gave to those in need without a thought because she'd say that God put that in her heart. Our mother had a relationship with God that many dream of and few have. She was thrilled with knowing that when her time came she'd be going straight to her heavenly father.Mom is survived by her son Jaime Castellanos and wife Susan Castellanos of Vista, California ; daughter Sonia Frederick whom she lived with in Needles, California; son Jon Castellanos and wife Tracy Castellanos Buckeye, Arizona; son Jerry Castellanos and husband Matt of West Hollywood, California; son Jeff Castellanos and wife Kati Castellanos of Argyle, Texas. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Jarrod Castellanos and wife Kayla from San Diego, California; Bryson Castellanos, Oakview, California; Tino Castellanos, Pueblo, Colorado, Matthew Castellanos Needles, California, Nicole Castellanos, Buckeye, Arizona; Tyler and Mason Castellanos Argyle, Texas.Visitation will be on held from 12:00 pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, November 5, 2017 with a Prayer Service to begin at 2:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary, 629 A Street Oxnard California. Funeral services will held at 10:00am on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Garcia Mortuary. Interment to follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd.
