Marsha Marie MooreMANSFIELD: Marsha Marie Moore, nee Moore died May 22, 2017 at her home following complications from strokes she suffered in 2004. She was born on September 20, 1947 to the late Howard C. "Cliff" Moore and Ruby (Robinson) Moore where she grew up attending Mansfield City Schools. She is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Moore, of 45 years who has taken care of her after two massive strokes paralyzed her left side. They have two sons, Kevin D. Moore and daughter-in-law Tanya R. Moore of University Heights, Ohio and Joshua J. Moore of Cynthiana, Kentucky; two grandsons, Zachary Moore and Nickolas Moore. She is also survived by her brother Duane E. Moore and sister-in-law Judy Moore of Lexington.Before being disabled, she and her family enjoyed many trips to diverse locations such as the east coast and Michigan. After the kids grew up, Dan and she continued traveling to Canada's Maritime Provinces, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and a cruise to the Caribbean in 2002, during Hurricane Isidore, to celebrate 30 years of marriage. She loved lighthouses and all things coastal. Reading was a lifelong passion of hers. She was always knitting something for others and had a collection of vintage dolls. She enjoyed swimming, and sailing in their Flying Scot sailboat as members of The Mansfield Sailing Club at Clear Fork Reservoir.She was a liberal progressive thinker and a Democrat from birth. Years ago she represented Mansfield's Ward 3B for the local Democrat party. At the time of her death she was a member of the Democrat Governor's Association and the Democrat National Committee.One of the issues she was most passionate about was conservation. She was very concerned about the health of our planet and all the animals living here.She retired on disability from Richland County Child Support Enforcement Agency. Prior to working there she was an elementary school librarian for Mansfield City Schools. Before her children were born she worked for the Mansfield News Journal for three years after graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism.Per Marsha's request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
