Marquel Elliott, born on August 23, 2002, brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around him. On December 1, 2023, he left this world far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and his unmistakable smile. Marquel resided in the vibrant community of North Syracuse, New York, where he embraced each day with boundless enthusiasm.
Marquel was the beloved son of Michael and Aisha Elliott, who nurtured his adventurous spirit and supported his dreams. Despite being dedicated to his studies, he always found time to make those around him smile. Even though Marquel didn't find love in a partner during his short time with us, he had a heart full of love and brought joy to everyone around him.
Marquel attended Lyons Central High School, where his infectious laughter and love for life brightened classrooms and hallways. He graduated from Lyons Central in 2021, ready to tackle new challenges and adventures.
Marquel's curiosity led him to pursue various studies, but his journey was cut short before he could achieve his dream. While at Prep/business opener, he showcased his talent and determination, leaving an indelible mark on his colleagues.
It saddens us deeply to share that Marquel's beautiful spirit succumbed to the weight of the world, and he tragically chose to leave us through suicide. Let us remember him for his vibrant personality, and let his passing be a reminder to be compassionate and kind to one another. In our grief, let us also cherish the laughter he brought into our lives, for that is how he would want to be remembered.
Marquel Elliott, taken from us far too soon, will forever remain in our hearts. May his gentle soul find the peace it longed for. Rest easy, dear Marquel.
