Marna Marie Williams was born on September 30, 1950, in Quantico, Virginia. A resident of Yuma County since 1959, she died at her home in Yuma, on January 27,2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn (Barnett) and Eugene Flynn of Yuma. She is survived by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Lisa Williams; son, Brent (Bess) Williams of Yuma; sisters, Teresa (David) Harrington of Yuma and Mary Barkan of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandsons, Kellen Williams, Max Williams, Flynn Williams, and Griffin Williams all of Yuma; nieces, Margo (Athon) Morrison, Amanda (Jason) Beck, Sarah (Ross) Gwynn of Yuma and Seth Barkan of Las Vegas, and several nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was a graduate of Yuma High School. A homemaker, she was also a long time volunteer for the Yuma Regional Medical Center where she served on the YRMC Foundation Board and acted as chairperson. She was a proponent of School Base Healthcare. She was a passionate worker for the Western Dance fundraiser, and the Tractor Rodeo. Marna was a 4H leader, and supporter of FFA. She was always concerned for children which included serving as a volunteer librarian for the Yuma Lutheran School. Children of all ages loved her. Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM and Rosary at 7:00 PM at Johnson Mortuary Wednesday, February 6th. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church Thursday, February 7th at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
