Mark Wayne Dewese, 65, of Hideaway, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at his home.
Mark was born April 18, 1954 in Fayetteville, South Carolina to James and Marcelle Dewese of Garland, Texas. He graduated from North Garland High School in 1973 and from the University of Texas Dallas with a Business Degree in Finance in 1981. On May 23, 1974 he married Susan Pleasant Dewese of Fairview, TX. Mark was employed at Southwestern Bell/AT&T for over 35 years in various roles within the Information Technology field.
Mark enjoyed music and had an amazing talent at playing the guitar. He was an outdoor enthusiast and would find joy in planning annual ski trips for his family every year where some of the most beautiful memories were made. In his earlier years, he was a running enthusiast and enjoyed participating in various local races. One of his biggest passions was being a Scout Master for his son’s Boy Scout Troop, 295. Mark took both his son and daughter on backpacking adventures to Philmont Scout Ranch with memories that will forever be cherished.
Mark is survived by his son, Jeff Dewese and his wife Jackie Dewese of Montgomery, Texas, and his daughter, Sarah Teichman and her husband Casey Teichman of Murphy, Texas. His two grandsons, Cole Dewese and Grant Dewese of Montgomery, Texas. Mark is survived by his two brothers, Brad Dewese and Andy Dewese and their families of Plano, Texas. He was proceeded in death by his parents, James and Marcelle Dewese, and his brother Scott Dewese.
Sorry for your loss. Mark and I worked together on the same crew from about 1978-1982. We were Cable Repairmen at SW Bell Telephone at the Beltwood Work Center in North Dallas. This was the time he was going to school to get his degree while working full time plus lots of overtime. When I look at the pictures of him it brings back memories of Mark with that mischievous grin of his. RIP Mark.
