On December 5, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul in Mario Lara. Born on June 8, 1951, in Jesup, Georgia, Mario was the beloved child of Victor and Shirley (Cummings) Lara. He leaves behind siblings, Carmen Lara Poughkeepsie Ny,Denise Lara Utica Ny, Noreen(Lara) Stinson Poughkeepsie Ny,Micheal Lara(deceased).

He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his four children, Janene, Mario Jr, Nichole, and Lateshia. Mario was a devoted father who cherished his family above all else.

During his time on Earth, Mario touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered. He was a proud graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and spent many years working on the railroad in Poughkeepsie, New York.

In his free time, Mario enjoyed indulging in his hobbies. He had a passion for fishing, finding solace and joy in the peaceful waters. Mario also loved to challenge his mind with video games and experiment in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for his loved ones.

Although Mario is no longer with us, his memory will live on through the hearts of those he touched. He will be remembered for his unwavering love, his gentle spirit, and his zest for life and never met a stranger.
