Mario (Butch) Greco, age 67, formerly of East Haven, CT passed away Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at Midstate Hospital. 

Butch is predeceased by his loving wife, Carol Greco and his father Julius Palmieri. He is survived by his mother, Angelina Palmieri of East Haven. Butch is also survived by his son, Vincent Greco and daughter in-law Judy Greco of Wallingford, his daughter Tina DeGrigorio of North Haven, and his daughter Dawn Mansfield (Pat Spadacenta) of East Haven. Grandfather of Ricky (Kaitlyn), McKenzie (Thomas), James (Brianna), Kirsten, Jimmy, Julianna, Tyler, Presleigh, Brianna, and Nik. Great Grandfather to Greyson Connor Gallup. Butch is also survived by his brother Bobby Palmieri of New Haven and sister Patricia (John) Fappiano of Florida. 

Butch was employed as a Machine and Maintenance Mechanic at HB Ives of New Haven for 33 years. He enjoyed to work and only retired a few years prior to his passing. Butch spent the remainder of his years surrounded by family and enjoyed the wind in his hair as he cruised on his motorcycle. 

Friends and family are welcomed to join us at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden CT, from 1:00p.m to 2:00p.m, Sunday, September 8th. A celebration of his life will follow at his son's home, 1266 Barnes Road Wallingford CT.
