We deeply mourn the loss of Marilyn Bailey, who passed away on January 27, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on December 23, 1961, to her loving parents Willie Edward Bailey, Sr. and Louise Bailey.

Marilyn is survived by her beloved daughter, Stephanie Louise Davis, and two cherished grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.

Both parents proceeded her in death. Her sibling proceeded her in death are MaryHelen Harris, Clarence Barber, Willie, Edward Bailey Junior, Emmett Lewis Bailey. Her precious granddaughter Zaria Davis passed away in February 2024.

Marilyn has two 2 grandchildren remaining, Ze’Keira Clark and Joshua Davis.

Marilyn has three siblings remaining, one sister Barbara Elaine Bailey, David Hal Bailey, and Charles Barber.

Marilyn attended Memphis Technical High School and graduated in 1980. She went on to work at the Memphis City School System as a cafeteria worker. She also worked at University of Tennessee Dental School as a custodial worker for many years. While employed at both jobs, she was awarded many awards for her work ethics. She also touched lives of many students and staff members.

In her free time, Marilyn enjoyed playing Spades and Dominoes with her friends and family. She had a warm and welcoming personality that made everyone feel at ease in her presence.

On January 27, 2025, Marilyn tragically passed away due to a heart attack. Her passing has left a void in the lives of all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
