Marie A. SharpYorkMarie A. (Miller) Sharp, 68, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of Daniel J. Sharp with whom she shared 25 years of marriage. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Rev. David D. MacKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewings will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Sharp was born on August 15, 1948, in Cairnbrook, PA and was the daughter of the late Vernon O. and Mabel J. (Sease) Miller.Marie graduated from Gettysburg High School in the class of 1966. She was a seamstress for many years and worked for Preform Group, York for five years. She enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Susan A. Ross and her husband, Robert of Seven Valleys; and a son, Lyndon S. Griffie of York; a step-daughter, Kimberly J. Shifflett and her husband, Ronnie of Manchester; a step son-in-law, Ed Malloy of Dover; three sisters, Margy Topper of Biglerville, Darby Swope of Hanover, and Cindy Reaver of Gettysburg; and six grandchildren. She is predeceased by a daughter, Kimberly J. Miller; a step-daughter, Stacy Malloy; two sisters, Shirley Brookens, and Norma Andrews; and a brother, Vernon Miller.
