WILLIAMSONMarie E. Marie E. Williamson, 86, of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born on April 3, 1930, in Weirton, West Virginia to John and Milija (Roknich) Frankovitch.She graduated from the University of Toledo with a Masters of Education and Specialist Degree in 1968-1970. Marie worked from 1959 until her retirement for the Toledo Board of Education at Woodward High School as an English teacher from 1959-1968, as Dean from 1969-1972, as a Counselor from 1973-1978 and as Assistant Principal of Instruction from 1979-1993. She loved to tutor children in reading, working in her garden, watching Shakespeare plays in Stratford, Ontario, reading and cooking. She was a member of the Autistic Society of Northwest Ohio and served on the Altar Rosary Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maumee and a member of Phi Delta Kappa Sorority.Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Williamson; granddaughter, Lauren Williamson; brother and sisters, John, Danielle, Margaret, Bill and Shirley McCardel, and Gloria Frankovitch. Left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Robert (Paula) Williamson, Deborah K. Moore, Rebecca (Tim) Wielgopolski; siblings, Edward Frankovitch, Amelia (Leonard) Churski, Ann (Robert) Noonan, and brother-in-law, Tom Walker; grandchildren, Matthew (Emily) Williamson, J.T. (Brianna) and Brandon Moore, Christopher and Jessica Wielgopolski; great-grandchildren, Deshawn Kosper and Juan Duarte, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Marie requested not to have services. Marie wished for memorials to be made to the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio (Bittersweet, Inc), Woodward High School Memorial fund, or .
