Marguerita Christina Juarez Flores, 73, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away of dementia and renal failure, on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Margie was born on July 23, 1943, in Brawley, CA, and was the daughter to Alfonso Garnica and Estefana Nieves Juarez. She was the youngest of the six children. She married Abel R. Flores on July 27, 1968, in Brawley, CA. She attended Sacred Heart School until eighth grade and graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1962. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfonso Garnica Juarez in 1960; mother Estefana Nieves Juarez in 1997; nephew, Richard I. Juarez in 1998; and brother, Alfonso N. Juarez, II., in 2010. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Abel Raya Flores, of Grandview, MO; Children, Marguerita (Robert) Porras and grandson, Robert-Abel Faustino Porras of Kansas City, KS; Paul-Abel Juarez (Adriana) Flores; and step-granddaughter, Anissa Martinez of Kansas City, MO.Sisters, Mary (Jerry) Jaramillo of El Monte, CA; Micaela (Ralph) Duran of Livingston, CA; brothers, Dario (Jenny) Juarez of Victorville, CA; and Richard (Laura) Juarez of Brawley, CA; Sister-in-law, Gloria Ann Quintana Juarez, wife of the late, Alfonso N. Juarez, II., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, extended family and friends. A second mass will be determined by the family later and will take place at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Brawley, CA with interment at Riverview Cemetery District designated as her final resting place.
