Our Beloved Angel
Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Margarita was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Margarita will be remembered as an exceptional person.
Margarita’s life journey began on March 11, 1938, where she was born in Camatiles, Urdaneta. She was raised in Pangasinan, Philippines. Her parents were Francisco de LaCruz and Cresencia Mendaros Goroza. She was raised with 5 siblings: Aurora, Cesar, Fred, Lorna and Francisco, Jr.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Margarita experienced that with (deceased) Fernando Fontanilla Corpuz and the couple exchanged wedding vows in 1956. The wedding took place in the Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Margarita was committed to making her new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Margarita was blessed with 5 children, Lina, Virginia, Mercedez, Anida, Amado. Margarita worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Margarita was blessed with the gift of 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Margarita enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, she worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Margarita worked at Frederica Manor and Mt. Miguel Convalescent homes as an LVN.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Margarita enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including a great passion for gardening, growing fruits, and vegetables from the seedlings. She was up from the crack of dawn until dark nurturing her plants. She cooked and ate the vegetables fresh from her garden.
