Margaret Louise Waldrip, 92, died Oct. 27th 2016 at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Louise was born on Jan. 7, 1924 in Lubbock, TX to Claude A. Burrus and Margaret Jones, pioneers of the Lubbock area. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1941 and married Lt. Jimmie Crimm in 1942 at age 19. Crim was a B29 pilot and the couple were stationed across the country until Crimm was listed as missing in action in 1945. Louise returned to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech and in line to register for classes, met Ted. G. Waldrip who she had known much of her life. They were married in 1947 and lived in Lubbock, Flagstaff AZ., Scottsdale AZ. and Casper, WY before Louise moved to Las Cruces, NM to be closer to her daughter after Ted's death. She taught school in AZ and WY and was a successful small business owner in Casper until she retired at age 70. Louise was active in every community in which she lived and was an avid bridge player. She is survived by her three children: Mike Waldrip and his wife Paula of Odessa, TX., Judge Wade Waldrip and his wife Cris of Rawlins, WY, Claudia Billings and husband Jim of Las Cruces, NM. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Nov. 19th at 10:30am at the Good Samaritan Village Auditorium in Las Cruces where Louise was a resident.
