DiBartolo, Margaret E. PETERSBURGH Margaret Elizabeth DiBartolo entered eternal life Monday, June 26, 2017, at home. Margaret was born on January 17, 1924, in the Bronx, the daughter of James Doran and Mary Marmion Doran. Margaret graduated from James Madison High School at 16, having skipped a grade, and served as senior class president. A member of the school choir, Margaret had a beautiful singing voice, and sang with the choir at Carnegie Hall. Margaret was widowed twice, first losing her husband James J. Geehan in 1964, and then losing her second husband of 45 years, Carmine J. DiBartolo, in 2011. Both were World War II veterans, and Margaret helped with the war effort as well. Margaret was a longtime resident of Dutchess County, and following the death of Carmine, she made Petersburgh her home. She came from a large Irish Catholic family, and was predeceased by her brothers, James and Patrick; and her two sisters, Mary and Kathleen. She is survived by two sisters, Josephine and Eileen. She had seven children, two of whom are deceased (Michael and Christine), and is survived by her daughters, Mary Ellen Williams (Kirk), Barbara Geehan (Massimo Zeviani), Margaret Geehan (Kenneth Christopher), and Elizabeth Wiley (Jeff); one son, Robert DiBartolo (Karen DiBartolo); six grandchildren, Margherita Zeviani, Camille Zeviani, Tommaso Zeviani, James Wiley, Gregory Wiley, and Emily Wiley; nieces and nephews, and her beloved cats, including her "trio," Francis, Oscar, and Scooterpie. She loved her family and we loved her back, and loved to knit, read, and listen to music. Margaret's death has left a big hole in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Margaret's memorial Mass 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, at St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, Hopewell Junction. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's memory to the Stratton V.A. Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208. Attention General Post Fund 1337.
