Margaret ChristiansonAGE: 87 • WallMargaret Louise Christianson, 87, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on September 2, 2017 at Care One at Wall in Wall, New Jersey. Margaret was a deeply spiritual woman whose faith and family were foremost in her life. She was born on July 18, 1930 in Jersey City, New Jersey to George and Jane (Grimley) Naughton. Margaret grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. She graduated from Snyder High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. After high school she began work for AT&T. Margaret married Sidney A. Christianson in 1952 in Jersey City, New Jersey. They were happily married for 46 years. Margaret was a member of The Rosary Altar Society at St. Joseph's RC Church in Keyport, New Jersey as well as St. John's RC Church in Lakehurst, New Jersey. She enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, and volunteering at church. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney; her parents George and Jane Naughton; her two brothers George and Joseph; and four sisters Rose, Jane, Mary, and Kathleen. Margaret is survived by her daughters Carol (Joseph) DeVirgilio of North Venice, Florida; Cathleen (Allen) Weisser of Downingtown, Pennsylvania; Chris (Tom) Carlson of Manasquan, New Jersey; Cindy (Don) Paolicelli of Toms River, New Jersey; Claire (Gregory) Hila of Naples, Florida; George Christianson of Fair Haven, New Jersey; Sidney (Lucille) Christianson of Holmdel, New Jersey; her sister Nancy Naughton of Hillsborough, New Jersey; her thirteen grandchildren Margeaux DeVirgilio; Michael, Matthew, and Adrienne Weisser; Jason and Jaclyn Paolicelli; Dana (Greg) Debski, Morgan and Taylor Hila; Kyle and Stephen Christianson; Dominique and Sidney Christianson; and one great-grandchild Greyson Debski. The family will be greeting friends and relatives on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 10-11:30AM at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue Lakewood, New Jersey. The celebration mass of her life will take place at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, New Jersey on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 12:30PM.
