It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Smith, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Margaret was born on April 7, 1942, in Sanford, North Carolina to Joe and Betty Jones Hurley.

She is survived by her partner, Robert Smith, her four children, Allison, Dean, Annie, and Alvin, and six grandchildren, Dean(Shaniqua), Dante(Michelle), Brenda,(Eric), Chris(Monica), Addie(Brian), and Lamont(Linda Faye). Margaret attended Lee County High School and went on to enjoy a rewarding career.

Known for her passion for cooking, knitting, and playing with her great grands, Margaret brought joy to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her warm smile and caring spirit.

Rest in peace, Margaret. Your legacy will continue to live on through those who loved you dearly.
