Marchell Owens was born to the union of Martel and Lady Frank Jacox on March 12, 1960, in Brownsville Tennessee (Who proceeded her in death). Marchell attended Haywood High School and later pursued her passion for beauty by studying at Debbie Beauty School in Harvey, IL. She furthered her education by receiving her CNA certificate.
Marchelle was united in Holy Matrimony to Benjamin F. Owens on August 8, 1980 in Chicago, IL (Who proceeded her in death). Three children were blessed to this union. Together they raised four wonderful children.
Marchell accepted Christ as her Savor. She was a member of Valley Kingdom Ministries and New Birth Kingdom Ministries. Her love for the word grew as she came into right division. Marchell's desire was to share the gospel and the word, rightly divided with her family and friends.
Marchelle dedicated 10 years of her life as an employee at Prairie Manor nursing home. She pursued her dream of becoming an entrepreneur and opened Owens Mini in home daycare in 1999. Where she loved, nurtured and cared for children for 22 years until her retirement in 2021.
Marchell departed her life on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 11:35am surrounded by loved ones.
Marchelle leaves to cherish her memories: her children Kenneth (Karol) Owens, Sheqeta Owens, Catreka Hicks, and Stacie (Bryan) Singleton. Six grandchildren Maurice and Ciara Owens, Benjamin Nicholas and Broke Hicks, Bryan Jr and Bryce Singleton, two great-granddaughters Noelle and Nova Richards. Four loving sisters Denease, Janice (Kerry), Yvonne, Jeanette (Larry). Three loving brothers Larry, Joe (Jackie), Jackie (Ruth) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Two sisters Deloise (Aunt Poochie), Georgia and Mr. Pooch - Doggie son (Who proceeded her in death). Special thanks to her friend Charles Atkinson (Chase).
Marchell will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished forever.
