Manuel Camarillo, El Paso resident for the majority of his life, died Dec 2, 2016, at the age of 96 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born on June 4, 1920, in Aguascalientes, MEX, to Juan and Fermina Camarillo. He served in WWII and earned 5 Bronze stars. He married Teresa Barba on Oct 13, 1956, in El Paso, TX. He is survived by children Manuel Jr. (spouse Laura Metzgar) McKinney, TX; Angela (sp. Robert Remington) Westcliffe, CO; Laurie (sp. Frank De La Cruz) Phoenix, AZ; Monica (sp. Vidal Oaxaca, deceased) Albuquerque, NM. Grandchildren Jennifer, Samantha and Roberto Camarillo; Alejandro and Clarissa De La Cruz; Nicolas and Thomas Oaxaca. Siblings Carmen (sp. Jose Vasquez), Maria Louisa (sp. Francisco Valles), and Gonzalo (sp. Amparo). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Teresa, his son Roberto, siblings Antonio (sp. Herlinda), Dolores (sp. David Hernandez), Juan Jr. (sp. Guadalupe), Jesus (sp. Cecelia), Consuelo (sp. Reyes Vasquez), Concepcion (sp. Carlos Saldivar) and his second wife Elva. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Martin Funeral Home Central with a 6:00pm vigil. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:45 am, Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
