We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mallard Ellis, who was born on August 1, 1943, in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. He passed away on January 23, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mallard was the son of Joseph and Emma Mae Ellis. In 1974, he married the love of his life, Louise Hoffler Ellis, and together they raised two children, Marcia Ellis and Mark Ellis. He was also a proud grandparent.

During his career, Mallard worked at the Winn Dixie regional office until his retirement in 1997. He also served in the Air Force, where he dedicated himself to his country with honor and valor.

Mallard will always be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
