Maggie Ola KneippKeithville, LA- A funeral service celebrating the life of Maggie Ola Kneipp, 99, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Gerald Head, Pastor of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and a grandson, Rev. Scott Halterman, Pastor of New Life Alliance Church, Logansport, IN. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the funeral home.Maggie Ola Kneipp was born on October 11, 1917 in Robeline, LA, to parents,Tom and Ethel Carnline. She went to be with her Lord on April 15, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Kneipp graduated from Charity Hospital as a RN on June 6, 1939. She spent most of her 62 year career in Labor and Delivery at Christus Schumpert Hospital. She was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Stonewall, LA. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, going to concerts, fishing, traveling and working crossword puzzles. Mrs. Kneipp was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Maggie loved spending time with her family.Mrs. Kneipp was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Kneipp; a brother, Thomas Carnline; and a sister, Ellen Jones. Left to cherish beautiful memories of Maggie are her sons, Jim (Sara) Kneipp of Copeville, TX and Richard (Shirley) Kneipp of Keithville, LA; daughter, Patricia (Richard) Nead of Logansport, LA; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Honoring Mrs. Kneipp as pallbearers will be: Keith Kneipp, Larry Jones, Terry Jones, Darrell Jones, Derek Halterman, Brent Halterman, and Corey Halterman.The family would like to thank the staff of Harmony Life Hospice for all the care shown to Ms. Maggie. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Nurse Dita Walker for all the care and compassion shown to Maggie. She helped ease everyone's mind by making them all laugh and kept Maggie happy through the end of her life.
