Machell Edwards, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Minden, Louisiana, United States. She was born on September 6, 1963, to John and Bernice Carey.

She is survived by her two children, Joshua Edwards and Tiffany Edwards, as well as seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sister, three brothers. Machell was predeceased by her two brothers Fabian Carey, Dexter Carey, and one sister Pamela Walker. Machell graduated from Minden High School in 1981 and enjoyed writing poems in her free time.

Her sudden passing due to a heart attack has left a hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Machell will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family.
