Lucy Marie BrushTOGETHER AGAIN COSHOCTON : Lucy Marie Brush, age 80, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015. She was born on March 20, 1935 to the late Wesley E and Bessie Marie (Monlux) Deffenbaugh. Marie was a 1953 graduate of Fresno High School. On June 7, 1953 she married Joseph O. Brush who preceded her in death on August 26, 1995. Marie loved to garden and was on a bowling league earlier in life. She enjoyed time at Salt Fork fishing off the pontoon boat with her husband and neighbors, Ruby and Glen Masters. Marie enjoyed going to her high school class reunions every year; and sharing her birthday with her daughter Shirley and grandson Dustin Goscinski. Marie is survived by her two daughters, Janet (Jack) Hunt and Shirley Goscinski; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister Elizabeth Morris; three brothers Wesley (Gloria) Deffenbaugh, Raymond (Ann) Deffenbaugh, and John (Helen) Deffenbaugh; one sister-in-law Karen Deffenbaugh and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Marie is preceded in death by husband Joseph O. Brush; son Joseph Edward Brush, her father, Wesley E. Deffenbaugh, nephew Timothy Deffenbaugh, sister-in-law Sandra Deffenbaugh; her mother Bessie Marie (Monlux) Deffenbaugh, niece Michelle (Deffenbaugh) Cutshaw, son-in-law David Goscinski, brother-in-law Michael J. Morris, brother Charles Deffenbaugh and nephew-in-law Mark Patterson.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Given-Dawson Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the funeral home at 2:00pm with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
