Louise Segura, 68, passed away on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, in Las Vegas.She was born on Nov. 10, 1948, to Mary and Dioniscio Segura. She grew up in Las Vegas and Chacon. She lived in San Diego for 18 years before returning to New Mexico. Louise received her B.S. from SDSU, became a registered nurse, and retired from the Las Vegas Medical Center. She devoted her life to her family and most recently cared for her mother, sister, and brother until their passing. As an advocate for the mentally disabled, and was active with the Special Olympics.Louise was the custodian of her family's history and traditions from Spain to New Mexico. Her plans, desires and wishes would have taken three lifetimes to achieve. As it was, the Lord called her home before she could complete one lifetime.She was preceded in death by her parents, Dioniscio and Mary Segura; sister, Paulajean Segura; and brother, Denny Segura.She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Segura of Albuquerque; son, Trevor Flores and wife Laura; Brennan Segura, all of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Alexander and Aiden; aunt, Celia Sandoval of Albuquerque; spouse, John Flores of Las Vegas; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.Services will be held at Our Lady of The Assumption Church in Albuquerque on Friday.
