Ogonosky, Louise P.Louise Ogonosky, long-time resident of Johnson City, passed away on June 28, 2017. She died after a brief illness at Susquehanna Nursing Home. Louise was born on June 20, 1920 in Moosic, Pennsylvania to Walter and Ada (Burnside) Decker. She married John J. Ogonosky in 1943 and together they raised two sons; John Jr. and Richard. Left to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Jason (Endicott, NY), Matthew (Vestal, NY), Kristen (Endicott, NY) and Marc (Englewood, CO); two great grandchildren, Jordan and Jenna (Endicott, NY); brother Tom Decker (Helen); and several nieces and nephews. Louise will be especially missed by her niece and caretaker Doreen Gilbert and her dear friend Angie Roux and her family. Louise was predeceased by her parents, her husband John Sr., her sons John Jr. and Richard, and her siblings Kenneth Decker, Earl Decker, Thelma Richardson, William Decker, and Donald Decker. Louise was a natural born caregiver and being the oldest of seven children afforded her many stories to tell of her motherly love. That love and care extended to her children, and extended family and friends. As we celebrated her 97th birthday last week, her impact on those who cared for her was evident. At the request of Louise there will be no calling hours, a graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Donald Kidd officiating on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 1:30 pm.
