Memorial Services will be held at the Stuart-Mt.Vernon United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 26th with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services following visitation. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery north of Menlo, Iowa following the luncheon.She is survived by her daughter Cindra (Jim) Heilesen of Kimballton, her son Monty (Cindy) Smith, of Earlham. Seven grandchildren. Eleven great-grandchildren. Nine great-great-grandchildren. A sister, Willa (Kenneth) Thompson, Klammath Falls, OR; And many nieces and nephews.Lou Etta Madeline Craven was born on January 18, 1925, in Jewell County, Kansas to Harold Willis and Lesta Inez (Burgess) Craven. She graduated from the Menlo High School in 1943. On June 6, 1945, Lou Etta and Clarence E. (Kay) Smith were married. Kay preceded Lou Etta in death in 2003.
