Lori J. GibsonKerhonkson - Lori J. Gibson of Kerhonkson, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. She was 61 years old. Lori was born on January 28, 1956 in Ellenville; she was the daughter of Dennis Decker and Carolyn (Freer) Hudson.Lori received a degree as a Pharmacy Technician through ACCES-VR, but her real passion was caring for others. She became a CNA and worked at the Ulster Infirmary, Ferncliff, Eden Park and Wassaic to name a few. Lori retired in 2007. She was a member of the Mid Hudson Valley Club of the Deaf for 40 years and held many offices within the organization. Lori was also a member of the Hudson Valley Catholic Deaf Church and a member of the Kerhonkson Federated Church Sewing Group. In addition to her parents and her step-father Stanley Hudson, Lori is survived by her loving husband James Gibson, whom she married on July 9, 1977, their children; James Gibson Jr. (Melissa) of Ellenville, Jason Gibson of Kerhonkson and Joshua Gibson (Katrina) of Kerhonkson; her brother Drew Decker (Brenda) of Kerhonkson; six grandchildren, Sierra, Mariah, Leah, Izzbella, Jason Jr. and Savannah. Lori was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jessica Gibson.Visiting will be held on Saturday, June 24th from 2-4 PM with a celebration of her life immediately following at the Federated Church of Kerhonkson.
