Masanz, Loretta F.Loretta F. Masanz, 89, Marshfield, died on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stratford and serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren, Steve Masanz, Jeremy Rasmussen, Jason Goldbach, Greg Masanz, Jordan Altmann, Jenny Frey, Casey Blomberg and Brian Dye. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until service time at Sacred Heart Church. A Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Loretta was born on May 5, 1928 in the Town of Cleveland, Marathon County, to Joseph and Mary (Ponczach) Kroening and attended St. Joseph's Parochial School, Stratford. She married Felix Masanz on August 8, 1946. Loretta farmed with her husband in the Town of McMillan where she raised her family. She also worked for 25 years as a CNA at Marshfield Convalescent Center until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, bingo, word searches, crocheting and camping. Loretta is survived by her children, Richard (Carol) Masanz, Donald (Roxie) Masanz, all of Stratford, Sandi (Rich) Dye, LaVern (Cindy) Masanz, Mary (Ernie) Nikolai, Michael (Liz) Masanz, all of Marshfield, Robert (William) Masanz of Phoenix, AZ, Jerold (Karen) Masanz, Kathryn (Chris) Raasch, Cheryl (Ken) Altmann, all of Marshfield, John (Margaret) Masanz of Mount Charleston, NV, Lori (Paul) Rasmussen of Arpin and Mark (Julie) Masanz of Las Vegas. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, Russell (Liz) Masanz, Steven (Stacie) Masanz, Amy (Tim) Richling, Greg (Sherri) Masanz, Brian Dye, Casey (Toby) Blomberg, Jamie (Stephanie) Masanz, Suzie Masanz, Tanya (Niels) Vanderheul, Jason (Allison) Goldbach, Valerie (Shawn) Kirsch, Ben Meyer, Jennifer (Jesse) Frey, Jordan (Megan) Altmann, Janet Masanz, Jeremy (Lacey) Rasmussen, Amanda Rasmussen (Jamie Widmann), Brent (Billie) Diercks, Missy Brinker and Jason (Lori) Pozega, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Marcella Sitko of Mosinee and by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doris and Frank Feltz of Edgar, Lillian and Charlie Rehlinger of Marshfield, Isabelle Kroening of Marshfield, Twyla Kroening of Stratford and Leo Geiger of Loyal. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 daughters, Kathryn and Jean Masanz, sisters, Margaret Kroening, Marie Wurl, Irene Beyer, Helen Dennee, Dorothy Geiger and Agnes Landwehr and brothers, Bernard, Melvin and Jerome Kroening and her twin brother, Leon Kroening.
