Loretta (Buonora) EmerickAugust 27, 1958 - November 13, 2017HersheyLoretta (Buonora) Emerick, 59, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born on Wednesday, August 27, 1958 in York to the late Robert P. and Geraldine (Northrop) Buonora. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles W. Emerick, Jr.. Loretta was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Spirit where she was a member of the choir, an RCIA instructor, and an avid volunteer. She was an ACS Voice of HOPE and was an inspirational speaker for Eli Lilly Conventions. She was also a life member of the Dauphin County Master Gardeners. Most importantly Loretta was a loving wife, mother, and sister. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Catherine A. Emerick and Adam C. Emerick (Margaret); seven siblings, Anne Robertson (Roger), Robert G. Buonora (Helen), Catherine Overton (Phil), Paul Buonora Ph.D (Sarah), Ellen Miller (Rick), Major John Buonora PhD (Mary Lou), and Elizabeth Buonora; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Holy Spirit, 245 W. Pine St., Palmyra, with Father Anthony Dill as Celebrant. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Mass. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra.
