ROME CITY — Lois M. Turner, 84, of Rome City died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Mrs. Turner grew up in Butler and moved to Wolcottville in 1982 from New Haven. She retired from Westview High School where she worked for many years as the cafeteria manager. Mrs. Turner was a member of Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir. She was involved with the many fundraising dinners at the church festivals. She was born on June 14, 1931 in Angola, to Paul and Sara Bell (Strange) Gunsenhouser. On Oct. 29, 1954 in Butler she married James H. Turner. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2000. She then married Ralph Keck Jr. on May 11, 2002, in Wolcottville and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2003. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pam S. and Craig Cassady of Royal Oak, Michigan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Paul A. and Marie Turner of New Haven, Stacy H. and Mellyn Turner of Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Glen W. and Randi Turner of Kendallville; a stepson and his wife, Kerry and Shelly Keck of Wawaka; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Virginia M. Engdahl; a son, James Richard Turner; a stepson, Terry Keck; a sister, Helen DeLong; and a brother, Ralph Gunsenhouser. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church, 4860 S. C.R, 450E, Wolcottville, with the Rev. David Mathews officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange. Memorials are to the .
