It is with a heavy heart (and a few eye rolls) that we announce the passing of Lois Hughes on February 9, 2025, in Shawano, Wisconsin.
Lois was born on November 17, 1946, to Helmuth and Elsie Klingbyll. She married Bill Hughes in 1974, in what many described as a union based on a shared love of arguing over the TV remote.
Despite having no children, Lois had plenty of time to devote to her hobbies of sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her impressive collection of doilies and questionable sweaters will surely be missed by... someone.
Lois was known for her sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude, which she carried with her until her last days. She will be remembered for her expertise in passive-aggressive comments and eye-rolling skills that could rival any teenager.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the National Association for Eye-Roll Prevention, in honor of Lois's legacy.
Rest in peace, Lois. We're sure you're rolling your eyes at us from up above.
You can to the family or in memory of Lois Hughes.
